Courses

Our courses focus on teaching fundamentals and attending to individual needs. Classes are therefore kept very small - no more than 4 students to a class.

With this personal attention and a good grounding in understanding the "why's" and the "how to find solutions" (as oposed to simply how to do this or that), students master the topics very rapidly indeed. Students find our unique approach exciting as they discover they are able to absord so much in a mere few hours. We also insist that students have access to a computer outside of the class as assignments are given between sessions.

Learning can be very enjoyable too!

Word Processing I

Gives you a well rounded grounding in word processing techniques that apply across all major word processors thereby enabling you to handle all of them without difficulty. Often, a person trained in, say, Word will not even apply for a job if the advertisement specifies a different word processor. We give you the confidence to tackle any one of them.

Although based on the very powerful OpenOffice Writer the course concentrates on building a strong foundation in word processing generally.

You will learn to be a truly universal Word Processor (as in a person). You will gain the knowledge and confidence to take on any other word processor with aplomb, and be able to produce professional documents with little effort and at speed.

The course brings even a beginner to a very high level of proficiency in just 5 hours! By the end of the course, you will know more about producing text documents than most secretaries and graphic designers do. We know because we run a graphics company.
